Do you have a passion for creative hair design? Show off your skills and unlock your colour and styling creativity with CPR and The Circle's first industry hair awards. The Mane Event is an opportunity to gain exposure within the industry and public while showcasing your talents.
All salons are welcome to enter the awards as long as CPR Colour and haircare is used to create the total look entry.
Entries are open now and will be accepted until midnight on 31st May 2024. The winner will be selected based on a judging panel made up of industry leaders, and then announced at The Mane Gala Awards Night on Saturday 29th June 2024 at The Ivy, Sydney.
The winner of The Mane Event will receive:
- $1,000 cash prize
- $2,000 CPR Colour and Haircare package
- A full-page feature in The Circle magazine
- Feature in HAIRBIZ & INSTYLE Hair magazine
- A chance to become CPR’s next ambassador to further your career and personal brand!

So what are we looking for in a winning shot? The Mane Event is all about showcasing your creative flair and talent. Our judging panel will be looking at the combination of the colour, cut and styling techniques along with the overall creativity, image and professionalism of the uploaded photograph.

Who can enter?
- All salons are welcome to enter the awards as long as CPR Colour and haircare is used to create the total look entry.
- Non-CPR Salons can purchase CPR Colour and products from a CPR Distributor (please keep receipt for uploading with entry) or can open an account with CPR to purchase directly.
- Entries can be from an entire salon team or a individual hairdresser
- Existing CPR ambassadors can enter
Process to enter
- Salon team or individual hairdresser creates and captures their ‘total look’ image using CPR Colour and products.
- Submits image via The Mane Event webpage (www.thecircle.cprhair.com/the-mane-event). The form will ask you to upload image, your name, social media handle and formula of colour. Salons purchasing from a CPR Distributor will be asked to upload their invoice showing CPR Colours and products on it.
- Entrant receives email with instructions on next steps to upload to social media, with an optional step to be able to add The Mane Event logo overlay to their image (this helps them stand out and get noticed on social media)
- Entrant posts to their social media following instructions from email you receive after uploading your entry (ie. adding hashtags #cprManeEvent)
Judging
- The judging panel will be announced one month prior to the Awards ending, via CPR Hair social media and direct email. The panel will consist of industry related personnel.
- All submissions will be presented anonymously to the judging panel on 1st June 2024. The top 10 will be chosen and the judges will then decide on a winner collectively by close of business Tuesday 18th June 2024.
- Our judging panel will be looking at the combination of the colour, cut and styling techniques along with the overall creativity, image and professionalism of the uploaded photograph.
- The winner must be following the CPR Hair Facebook and Instagram accounts. The judging panel will review shortlisted entries to ensure entrants are following the CPRHair social accounts.
Model Release
CPR Hair strongly recommends requesting your model to sign a model release form on the day of capturing your submission. In the instance that you win The Mane Event, your entry will be published in various publications, both print and digital. The model release form protects both CPR Hair and your salon with permissions to use photo in these publications on the models behalf.
Your model release form should include the following information:
- Models name
- Date
- Statement that model gives permission for your salon and CPR Hair to use entry photo for any use for digital or print material
- Models signature
You will not be required to submit a model release form with your entry but CPR Hair will request a copy from the winner and top entries of the awards.
Need a Makeup Artist?
CPR Hair and The Circle have partnered with the Academy of Makeup to help give opportunities to students. If you require a makeup artist for your shoot, you can fill out a work experience form and submit it directly to the Academy. Once your request has been approved, details will be passed on the students and if any are available to assist you they will contact you directly.
Hairdresser Release Form
- By submitting your entry into The Mane Event, you allow CPR Hair to use the entry for all digital and print promotional purposes surrounding the awards.

Terms & Conditions
The Mane Event is a total image custom colour and styling awards run by CPR Hair (Yasmin Products Pty Ltd) ABN 30 000 852 371.
Entrants

- Non-CPR Salons can purchase CPR Colour and products from a CPR Distributor (please keep receipt for uploading with entry) or can open an account with CPR to purchase directly.

Entries
- There is no entry fee for the awards.
- You may enter as many submissions as you would like during the awards period from 1st September 2023 to midnight 31st May 2024.
- Your photographic entry must be posted to your Instagram account with #cprManeEvent within the dates of 1st September 2023 to 31st May 2024. Any submissions posted outside of these dates will not be eligible. Once posted, your photographic entry must not be deleted or archived up to 31st December 2024.
- Image submitted must adhere to the content requirements outlined on The Mane Event webpage www.thecirlce.cprhair.com/the-mane-event
- Entries can be from an entire salon team or a individual hairdresser
- Your entry must not have been used to enter any other prior hair awards of a similar nature.
- All entries must be created on a human/models hair. Any entries on a mannequin head will not be eligible.
- The hairdresser can use hair extensions, accessories to enhance the look.
- All entries will be presented to the judging panel anonymously to ensure fairness.
- Entrants agree that their submission can be used by CPR Hair any promotional, advertising purposes into perpetuity.
- By submitting your entry into The Mane Event awards, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined by CPR Hair.
